Solis Lough Eske Castle, a 17th century castle hotel just outside Donegal town, has recently been named the Irish Wedding Venue of the Year 2009.

Having opened just 2 years ago, Lough Eske Castle is a luxurious castle hotel in Donegal. Over the recent months, Lough Eske Castle has received global recognition and had been consistently voted winner of many prestigious titles both in Ireland and internationally.
Being the only five-star castle hotel in Donegal, Solis Lough Eske Castle has a total of 96 guest suites comprised of Deluxe Rooms, Solis Junior Suites, Garden Suites, and the Presidential Castle Suite.
Weddings at Lough Eske Castle
According to the recently published press release, Solis Lough Eske Castle hosted 64 weddings last year and has 85 wedding receptions already booked for 2010.
Andrew Turner, General Manager of Lough Eske Castle, recognizes the importance of weddings:
Weddings are a hugely important part of our overall business. We’ve invested heavily in creating a special wedding garden as well as installing a collection of 30 specially commissioned bronze sculptures in the castle grounds to ensure that we have the best possible setting, particularly for photographs.
We’re also registered as a Civil Ceremony venue and have a one wedding a day policy. And on the day after a wedding we treat the newly-weds to an Aromatherapy Associates Couples Massage in our award winning spa.
